As attractions and locations are closed all over the region for Christmas Day, you may be forgiven for thinking that activities in Anglesey are a bit non-existent. In fact, there’s plenty of festive fun to get stuck into on Boxing Day around the area!
After you’ve stuffed yourself around the table with the loved ones, you could be feeling a little lethargic, there’s not much else more rewarding than taking a superb guided walk to burn a calorie or two around South Stack.
Ideal for the avid birdwatcher, this event by the RSPB has not only been organised to help you shift that turkey weight but also to see some other birds that might not have wound up on your dinner plate! At this time of year, there are some really gorgeous animals of sight to see in the North Wales skies with the reserve at South Stack possibly being resident to the Peregrine falcon and Chough on December the 26th.
After your intriguing but tiring walk, you can wrap up warm inside with a bowl of soup and a delicious bread roll. At just £7, it won’t break the bank and is the perfect excuse to start your New Year’s Resolution to get fit early.
If you think you might be able to cram it in in the evening, there’s a great night of entertainment to be enjoyed at the Gwesty Victoria Hotel in Menai Bridge.
As you may very well be tired of hearing Wizzard and Mariah on the radio throughout the festive season, it could be a fantastic evening of alternative Christmassy tunes for everyone in attendance when the drinks start flowing and the band starts playing. If rhythm and blues is your kind of thing then this event is not to be missed.
With this and much more to look forward to on the isle, we here at Go Anglesey wish you a merry Christmas and a happy New Year!
