Property description

Ground floor

Kitchen /dining area

The kitchen benefits from French windows which open out onto the patio and provide compelling views of the surrounding parkland and distant forest. The white walls contrast against the beamed ceiling and slate tiled floor to bring light into the fully fitted kitchen. The well equipped kitchen consists of an electric oven, a five-burner gas hob, a fridge, a freezer, a microwave, a toaster, and a washing machine and drier. There is CD player and radio and plenty of pots and pans to cater for any family occasion.

The dining area is within the large kitchen and consists of a table which comfortably seats six and enjoys stunning views across the parkland.

Lounge

The lounge has dark beams set against the white ceiling and walls. The honey coloured solid wood floors give a warm, inviting mood. The windows on either side of the room help to give a light and airy feel. This long lounge contains a three-seater sofa and a two-seater sofa, a wicker chair, a coffee table, a 32inch flatscreen TV, a DVD player, a VHS player, a cassette player, a Nintendo Wii console with games and lots of DVD films, CDs and games. Also in the lounge you will find the wireless internet box. There is an electric ‘log-effect’ fire in the fireplace.

Bedroom 1

The downstairs spacious double bedroom can be accessed from the lounge up a short staircase of five steps. Once again this a very attractive room with the dark ceiling beams and white walls illuminated by the windows. There is a double bed, a clothes rail, a chest of drawers and two wicker chairs.

En-suite to bedroom 1

This en-suite room contains a shower cabinet, a toilet, a washbasin and a towel stand.

First floor

Bedroom 2

This light and airy bedroom contains two single beds and two pullout beds, a clothes rail, a chest of drawers and a hairdryer. The bedroom windows offer views of the parkland and forest. Two rows of recessed ceiling lights are another feature of this stylish bedroom.

En-suite to bedroom 2

There is an attractive recessed walk-in shower cabinet and a washbasin in bedroom 2.

Bedroom 3

This spacious room contains two single beds (each with pullout beds), two bedside cabinets, bedside lamps and a chest of drawers. There are beams, recessed ceiling lights and two windows which give extensive views of the parkland.

Bathroom

Located between the upstairs bedrooms, this modern, tiled bathroom contains a bath, toilet, pedestal sink and a heated towel rail.

Entertainment

The lounge has a 32inch flatscreen TV with built in Freeview, a DVD player, a VHS player, a cassette player, a Nintendo Wii console with games and lots of DVD films, CDs and games. Also in the lounge you will find the wireless network box. There is a CD/Radio player in the kitchen.

Outside

There is ample private parking space. The double doors from the kitchen lead outside to a flagged patio with a rattan four seater garden furniture set, great for al fresco dining and enjoying evening drinks at sundown. The garden contains mature specimen trees and shrubs, and the large lawned garden provides plenty of space for children and dogs to have fun and run off their excess energy!

The surrounding area

A range of different beaches and boat launch sites are only moments away. In nearby Moelfre and Red Wharf Bay is a range of restaurants and pubs, and shopping is close at hand in Benllech or at the Waitrose supermarket in Menai Bridge.

East coast beaches

The East Coast of Anglesey offers a number of extensive golden beaches all along the A5025 such as Llanddona Beach, a blue flag award sandy beach popular for swimming, canoeing and windsurfing.

Red Wharf Bay, one of the largest bays in Anglesey attracts a profusion of wildlife. The small promenade of Red Wharf Bay fronts a glorious sandy beach home to many boats of the Red Wharf Sailing Club. It has three restaurants, The Ship Inn, with a beer garden that has views to die for, The Old Boathouse, a super family friendly café/bistro, with alfresco dining, and St Davids Tavern on the headland.

Benllech (more like a traditional British seaside resort), Traeth Bychan , a small but popular sheltered beach, Moelfre (famous for its lifeboat legacy) and Traeth Lligwy a secluded sandy beach situated between Dulas Bay and Moelfre, popular for swimming, fishing and water sports.

North coast beaches

The north coast of Anglesey can be reached by turning north on the A5025 towards Amlwch (an old fishing port associated with the Copper Kingdom of Parys Mountain), Cemaes Bay (a very attractive sheltered bay with an extensive golden beach) and a little further on there is the nature reserve at Cemlyn and the very attractive Church Bay (Porth Swtan) with its tall cliffs and the oldest cottage on Anglesey.

Visitor Review

We had a lovely time

"Hi, just to let you know that we had a Fab time staying in Bodafon. The house was great and the beautiful setting was beyond our expectations. The DVDs were a big hit with the kids at night. Wonderful holiday in a stunning location. Would hope to return again. Thanks for that. Regards, Marita"
