Wild-About-WalesWhether you are looking for a stimulating hike up the highest peak in England and Wales, a challenging trek across the ridges and rocky paths of some of the neighbouring mountains, or just a relaxing walk up one of the more remote hills of Snowdonia, Wild-about-Wales will provide you with a rewarding and memorable mountain experience. From tailor-made day treks to short breaks or fully inclusive weeks in the stunning Snowdonia National Park, we offer a range of holidays to suit all tastes.

Wild-about-Wales is a young and exciting walking company based in the heart of beautiful Snowdonia in North Wales. North Wales is an area rich in history and culture, and the Snowdonia National Park is home to some of the UK's most spectacular mountain scenery, including Snowdon, the highest peak in the UK outside of Scotland.

The dramatic scenery has inspired many poets and authors including J.R. Tolkein who based the Mountains of Mordor in "The Lord of the Rings" on the skyline of the Snowdon range. The area offers incomparable hiking for all abilities and spectacular views across the hills and coastlines towards Ireland, Anglesey, and the Lake District.

The company is owned and managed by Cathy Popkin, herself a qualified mountain leader. She is passionate about the area and the company was set up in order to share this unique and wonderful corner of the UK with others.

The company is fully insured and all the trips are fully graded to give an indication of difficulty. The guides are fully qualified and keen to share their knowledge and enthusiasm with those who have yet to discover this relatively unvisited part of the British Isles.
