And if cooking inspires you, local produce is incredibly good and often award-winning. Better still, it's available in Hooton's Homegrown Farm Shop in the neighbouring village of Brynsiencyn (as featured on BBC's 'Hairy Bikers' series). With a dining table for eight guests in the cottage, you have the perfect setting to cook up a stunning country feast! A highchair is also available upon request for any younger family members.
Kitchen equipment includes fridge/freezer, electric cooker, microwave and dishwasher. Laundry facilities are available in an outhouse in the courtyard.
Through the kitchen, you walk through a hall and into a large, bright living room with comfortable leather seating, a television (with Freeview and DVD) and a piano for those who fancy a tinker! There's also a fireplace, perfect for cozy nights with a blazing log fire during winter - be it with a glass of good red wine, a marshmallow topped hot chocolate or even a trusted cup of tea!
A side door in the living room opens to the garden where a picnic table and BBQ are supplied.
On the first floor is the second bedroom; a large family room with double bed, bunk bed and an en suite comprising a w.c. and sink. A cot can also be provided upon request.
From the cottage, you are within a short walk of the Menai Straits with an extensive beach and wonderful views of Caernarfon Castle and Snowdonia National Park. You are also less than a five minute walk from the Anglesey Riding Centre which offers both indoor riding and countryside pony treks. We are close to Anglesey Sea Zoo, Foel Farm Park, National Trust property Plas Newydd and a stunning Blue Flag beach in the neighbouring village of Newborough; a beach so impressive that it has often featured on television and in feature films - from BBC's 'Coast' series to the Warner Bros 'Clash of the Titans'.
For car and motorcycle enthusiasts, the Anglesey circuit at Ty Croes is within easy reach. The Menai Bridge crossing to the North Wales mainland is approximately six miles away.
